Mission Hills China regularly hosts some of the world’s biggest golf events and players on its courses. It is committed to bringing China to the world and the world to China via an annual series of tournaments aimed both at cultivating the stars of tomorrow, and showcasing the game at its present height.
World Ladies Championships
With a 600,000 US dollar prize purse, the World Ladies Championship was previously played at Mission Hills Haikou for four years .. before the fifth edition of the championship switched venue in 2016.
The list of previous champions includes Jung-Min Lee from Korea (2016), So Yeon Ryu from Korea (2015), Olympic gold medallist Inbee Park from Korea (2014), Suzann Pettersen from Norway (2013) and Shanshan Feng from China (2012) – winners of 11 Majors between them.

The Match at Mission Hills
Golf’s world No. 1 and major winners Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will go head-to-head in a two-man 18-hole contest for the first time at “The Match at Mission Hills” on October 28, in Hainan, China. The Match will be staged on Mission Hill’s highly acclaimed Blackstone Course – one of 10 Schmidt-Curley designed golf courses set amidst spectacular black volcanic lava rock at Mission Hills Haikou Resort in China’s southern-most island.
WGC-HSBC Champions 2012
The World Golf Championships (WGC) are a group of four annual events for professional golfers created by the International Federation of PGA Tours The HSBC Champions is one of four World Golf Championships. In the seven editions of the WGC-HSBC Champions, the following marquee players claimed the coveted title; The 2012 World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions boasts a prize fund of $7,000,000 and will be played the week of October 29 – November 4 at Mission Hills Guangdong, China, on the Olazabal Course. GOODWILL TROPHY
Goodwill Trophy Golf Tournament was held on 29 Nov, 2005. The tournament was organized by the Mission Hills and Celtic Manor, which signed reciprocal arrangement with the club. The games took the form of dual meet. The players participated in Ryder Cup earlier had a chance to stand up against top players from other continents. The two clubs took turns to host the tournament, with the first one held at the Mission Hills in November 2006 and the second one was held in June in UK.
DYNASTY CUP TROPHY
Dynasty Cup was co-hosted by the Asian PGA and Japan golf tour organization. Asia’s first “Ryder Cup” - the Inaugural Dynasty Cup – held at Mission Hills. Mission Hills hosted this first class Asia Tournament for three consecutive years,since 2003. The Ryder-Cup style tournament, to be played on a biennial basis, will feature 12-man teams representing the Japan Golf Tour and the Asian Tour. The First Dynasty Cup held at the world's largest golf club, Mission Hills Golf Club.
