Chinese Trio Share Third as Yujie Liu Wins Best Amateur at Aramco China Championship
SHENZHEN, CHINA – NOVEMBER 8, 2026 – Four Chinese players finished in the top 10 as Spain’s Ana Peláez Triviño won the Golf Saudi-backed Aramco China Championship at Mission Hills Shenzhen on Sunday. Zhou and halfway leader Zeng shared third with defending champion Liu Ruixin, while 16-year-old Liu Yujie finished eighth to claim Best Amateur honours.

Shiyuan had played her way into contention with a second-round 66, moving within a stroke of Liqi at halfway. The pair and Ruixin Liu all closed with four-under 69s to finish at 16-under par, sharing third with overnight co-leaders Luna Sobron Galmes of Spain and Charlotte Heath of England. Liu Yujie finished a stroke behind them after a closing 70 and received a Mission Hills membership as part of her Best Amateur award.

Peláez Triviño started the final round five shots off the lead. Her nine-under 64 took her to 20-under par and a three-stroke victory over England’s Mimi Rhodes. The win came five years after the 28-year-old made her professional debut at the Aramco Team Series in Sotogrande in August 2021.

“The $2 million is nice, but I think everything that goes around the $2 million is even better. It’s not only the prize money, it’s everything. TV coverage, playing the best golf courses around the world, the media, and everything that builds around this event,” said Peláez Triviño.

With Golf Saudi and Aramco backing the US$2 million purse, Shiyuan, Liqi and Ruixin each earned an equal payout for their share of third. For players building a career on tour, prize money from a finish like this can help cover coaching, travel and the cost of competing overseas.
Shenzhen was the fifth and final stop of the 2026 PIF Global Series, following tournaments in Riyadh, Las Vegas, London and South Korea. Co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour and China LPGA Tour, the finale brought players from 32 countries to Mission Hills, with broadcast coverage distributed in more than 100 countries.

Away from the course, the Women in Sports Playbook panel brought industry leaders together to discuss investment and ownership in sport. Saturday’s community programme welcomed 150 local students to Mission Hills, where 30 junior golfers received hands-on coaching from six professionals.
