Located within Mission Hills Resort, China’s National 5A-Level Tourist Attraction, the Mission Hills Ecological Sports Centre covers an area of 220,000m2 and is presently the only theme park in Shenzhen North integrating eco-tourism, sports, leisure and entertainment.
Nestled amidst lush greenery and picturesque scenery, the MH Ecological Sports Centre appeals to tourists with its green concepts and facilities. Akin to a nature classroom, it features breath-taking reservoir scenery, forests and green lawns, interesting decorations using recycled tyres, mountain biking tracks and other beautiful landscapes. A distinctive and attractive feature of the centre is the family themed facilities including an open air children’s castle, carousel, mini zoo & botanical garden, children’s putting green and many more, making it the perfect weekend destination for families.
For sports lovers, the centre boasts a world-renowned tennis centre. All eight tennis courts, including the 3,000-seat centre court, are designed according to International Tennis Federation’s standards. A range of other exciting activities including archery, basketball, five-a-side football, beach volleyball, CS experience zone, grove adventure play, team building games and other sports are also on offer to visiting guests.
The Ecological Sports Centre also boasts two other themes – the amusement attraction zone and military training and team-building area with ferries wheel, spacewalk, bumper cars, pirate ship, exotic castle and flying chairs.
Two unique large-scale attractions are Karoo Ice and Snow World (due to open in late 2022) and Shenzhen Ocean World. Karoo Ice and Snow World covers an area of 12,000m2 and encompasses an indoor ski hall, a skating hall and a guest facilities hall with comprehensive services. The three pavilions are all constructed with the latest technologies for air tent structure, with clean and chic appearance and beamless internal structure and ideal for winter sports training, competitions and fun attractions for visiting guests. The Mission Hills Art&Crafts Factory is located in the Mission Hills 5A-level scenic area and situated within the beautiful Mission Hills Country Club. Combining mass teaching with professional creation, the workshop is divided into eight major spaces: Aesthetic Handicraft Space, Intangible Cultural Heritage Handmade Space, Craftsman Handmade Creation Space, Glass Handicraft Space, Plant Dyeing Art Space, Handmade Activity Space, Art Courtyard, and Cultural and Creative Store. It gathers more than 10 handicraft categories, including pottery, paper art, clay sculpture, glass blowing, lamp working, inlaying, leather art, wood art, metalwork, fabric art, weaving, flower and plant art, painting, beading, fluid art, and small handicrafts, and offers over 300 handicraft experience courses.
The Mission Hills Art&Crafts Factory is committed to building a one-stop handicraft platform in China with a complete range of categories and excellent equipment, adhering to the integrated development model of culture and tourism. It serves as a teaching and internship base for the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and the Graduate School of Shenzhen University, an intangible cultural heritage learning and research base for the Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Promotion Association, and a comprehensive practical education base for primary and secondary school students in Guangdong Province.
