Directed and coached by former IMG Tennis Academy instructor and Korean Davis Cup coach, Dr. Hee-June Choi, the academy offers a range of courses tailored to a variety of skill levels, ages and schedules. Philosophy
The instructional philosophy of the Mission Hills Tennis Academy focuses on bringing out the best results in players by promoting a well-structured tennis and physical fitness program combined with a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The academy puts players through the Periodization Training Program, which systematically controls and changes the volume, intensity, frequency, and duration of training and competition.

Instructors
With over 15 years of professional tennis experience, Dr. Hee June Choi has worked with some of the world’s best players and is one of Asia’s most sought-after tennis instructor.
Supervising the prestigious Elite Program of the International Management Group (IMG) in Florida, Dr. Choi had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s best professional and junior players, including Anna Kournikova, Maria Sharapova, Tommy Haas, Max Mirnyi, Marcelo Rios and others.
In his native South Korea, Dr. Choi also held a number of prestigious positions and was responsible for developing the world’s No.1 and No.4 junior players, Sun-Yong Kim and Woong-Sun Jun.
Dr. Choi’s reputation as one of industry’s top coaches was reinforced when he was appointed the personal coach of fellow South Korean, Mr. Hyung-Taik Lee, who has won the most singles matches in Davis Cup history and is currently Asia’s highest ranked male player.
Dr. Hee-June Choi currently coaches and oversees the development of China’s most promising young tennis players, as well as accomplished professionals, such as Chinese Olympic medalist and Grand Slam Winner, Ms. Zi Yan.
Facilities
The Mission Hills Tennis Academy is set within Asia’s largest tennis complex featuring 51 tennis courts. The facility hosted the David Cup in 1999 and is the tennis venue for the 2011 University Games to take place in Shenzhen, China.
As part of the Mission Hills Country Club – one of four clubhouses that make up the massive Mission Hills resort complex, the Mission Hills Tennis Academy is linked to a range of 5-star facilities and amenities, including accommodation, spas, various sports and fitness facilities, pro shops and a choice of restaurants.
The Mission Hills Country Club and Tennis Academy are serviced by a regular shuttle bus from the Hong Kong border and can be reached within 30 minutes from the border or Shenzhen’s Central Business District.
