The fourth edition of the star-studded World Celebrity Pro-Am will be held at Mission Hills Haikou in China’s Hainan Island on 21-23 October 2016, bringing together major celebrities of the entertainment, sports and business worlds for Asia’s premier lifestyle celebration.
Previous editions of the World Celebrity Pro-Am have featured Hollywood’s Nicole Kidman, Catherine Zeta-Jones CBE, Jessica Alba, Morgan Freeman, Hugh Grant, Matthew McConaughey, Andy Garcia, Adrian Brody, Chris Evans and Michelle Yeoh. From the music arena the event has showcased best-selling recording artist Kenny G, Jay Chou, Sun Nan and Miriam Yeung.
The glittering event consistently attracts Hong Kong’s entertainment leaders including Aaron Kwok, Leon Lai, Donnie Yen, Maggie Cheung, Gigi Leung, Charlie Young, Sammo Hung, Natalis Chan, Michael Wong, Simon Yam and Eric Tsang; as well as China’s top film personalities such as Feng Xiaogang, Chen Daoming and Wang Zhiwen.
All-time Olympian Michael Phelps, Brazilian footballer Ronaldo and NBA star Yao Ming are some of the sports celebrities to have graced the unique celebrity-professional golf competition.
Highlights of the World Celebrity Pro-Am include the stunning Red Carpet evening, the 2-day golf competition which brings together the best of entertainment with the world’s top male and female professional golfers at the award-winning 7,777-yard Blackstone Course, and the legendary Pro-Am which hosts China’s leading industrialists, businessmen and entrepreneurs.
As a unique competition that unites the best of men’s and ladies golf together with the game’s greatest legends, World Celebrity Pro-Am participants have included golf icons such as Greg Norman, Nick Faldo, Ian Poulter, Justin Rose, Ian Woosnam, Darren Clark, Gary Player, John Daly, Annika Sorenstam, Lorena Ochoa and Suzann Pettersen.
