TENNIS PROS SERVE UP MASTERCLASS FOR LOCAL SCHOOLCHILDREN IN SHENZHEN

[Shenzhen, China – 5 November 2018] Pupils from Bromsgrove School Mission Hills were treated to a tennis masterclass today in Shenzhen, China.

Tennis professionals Sabina Sharipova of Uzbekistan and China’s Wang Meiling spent time with more than 100 students at the school – which is located at the Mission Hills Shenzhen resort in southern China – showcasing their skills and answering questions about the sport.

The two women professionals are competing in the 2018 Shenzhen Longhua Open at Mission Hills, an international ITF event with a prize purse of US$ 100,000.

More than 100 players from across the world are in action this week, with Zheng Sai-Sai of China the top ranked player and number one seed and 2013 Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki also in the field.

Last week saw the men in action at Mission Hills with the ATP Challenger Tour event concluding on Sunday.  Miomir Kecmanovic of Serbia took the men’s singles title, defeating Slovenia’s Blaz Kavcic in three sets.
